Home Town
Sunny Days Radio is located in Brantford Ontrario a city with a great music hertitage .
Ray Materick emerged from the Canadian folk-rock scene in the 1970s. His introspective songwriting and storytelling earned him comparisons to Gordon Lightfoot and Bruce Cockburn. Signed to Asylum Records (the same label as the Eagles and Joni Mitchell), he became one of the few Canadian acts of that era to break into both Canadian and American markets.
Scott Merritt began performing in the late 1970s, blending poetic lyrics with textured production. His 1980s work drew critical acclaim for its artistry and emotional depth. He later became a respected producer and recording engineer , working from his studio The Cottage in Guelph, where he’s helped shape albums for other Canadian acts like Stephen Fearing and Fred Eaglesmith.
Kenny Marcos was a celebrated guitarist and session musician, who helped define the Canadian soul-rock sound of the late 1960s and 1970s. After Motherlode’s success, he joined Dr. Music — one of Canada’s top jazz-fusion ensembles. His guitar work was known for its fluidity and melodic sophistication.
Marco passed away in 2024, but his influence lives on in Canadian classic rock circles.
Frank DiFelice is a highly regarded Canadian drummer, composer, and educator from Brantford, Ontario. With a career spanning several decades, he has performed across Canada and abroad, known for his dynamic style and precise musicianship. Frank is the founder and leader of The Frank DiFelice Quintet and the jazz group Jericho, both of which showcase his talent for blending traditional and contemporary jazz sounds.
